Balvenie distillery holds its rarest and most precious treasures in their Warehouse 24. After nine really successful Tun series, they decided to turn things up a notch. While the previous series consisted of nine barrels, The Balvenie Tun 1501, Batch 1 is a marriage of 42 (!) different barrels hand-picked by David C. Stewart MBE, the Malt Master. The blend was then transferred to Tun 1509, where it stayed for several months before it was bottled. A genuine showcase of The Balvenie’s wizardry.
