joseph,
This is my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge wine fan but definitely a smooth scotch that has a red wine, medium finish. Love to pair this with most Dominican, Connecticut cigars, or any La Father's.

Joseph,
Favorite scotch! Perfect blend of honey and caramel to hold a soft taste throughout. Thought I tasted plum but potentially the grape. Mild smoke pairs well with the caramel. Worth it!

Greg
Greg,
Some time ago I was presented with this bottle as a thank you for services rendered. At the time I had only begun tasting single malt scotches and so my repertoire was limited. Nevertheless, a recent revisit reminded me of the sublime and flavorful character of this dram. This is one occasion when I think the spiral has missed the mark. I taste dark chocolate and fruit up front with a touch of smoke underneath as it lingers on the palate for the honeyed flavors of port to seep through., here perhaps to more sophisticated palates, the marzipan and caramel. For me this is a pricey dram but well worth the occasional investment.

Ron
Ron,
I'm a fan of Balvenie and tend to like port finished whiskeys so there should be no surprise that I really enjoyed this scotch. I could understand if some folks think the port influence was overdone but it was the the right amount for my tastes.

Eric
Eric,
My favorite scotch ever. I love how it’s got a mild, yet interesting flavor from the port barrels. Throw in a couple of ice cubes to chill it and it really opens up.

Michael
Michael,
This is my favorite single malt scotch I’ve tasted to-date. I like my whisky on the sweet side with a smooth mouth feel and long, smooth finish. This one is all of that and more. I am generally drawn to Speysides due to their absence of smokiness and I’m particularly drawn to whiskies that are aged in casks previously used for another wine or spirit. If you want to splurge or give a gift for a very special occasion, this is your bottle.
