The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Paul,
A very nice scotch with interesting overtones. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet but you can definitely taste the rum heritage. Smooth and easy drinking.
The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Ken,
The rum finish is definitely noticeable but I would not have noticed the tropical flavors if someone hadn’t pointed me in that direction.
The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Angelia,

The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Terry,
What a great scotch. Strong, Smooth and an excellent finish. Price makes it a wonderful end of day drink and still good enough for special occasions. Better than some that are twice the price and more.

All about spice and oak at a moderate price
The Balvenie The Week of Peat 14 Year Old
Craig,
I was excited to try this. I have never tried a peaty scotch. I love the Carribean cask and double wood but the week of peat was not as good as I expected. It's smooth and has good flavor on the front but on the back side it tastes like burnt electrical wires. So sip after sip was just that. Wish I would have just ordered what I know I like.

Balvenie 12 Year Old Single Barrel - First Fill

My go to everyday drink when I'm having rough day. Still my top pick and for the price you cant beat it.
The Balvenie The Sweet Toast of American Oak 12 YO
Robert,
Wow! This is one of the most complex Scotches I’ve tasted. Also one of the most unique. You definitely taste the spiciness - I thought maybe cloves or cinnamon at first (but flavor profile says gingerbread). I’ll buy this again!
Balvenie Signature 12 Year Old
Daniel,
Fruit. Cinnamon. Pepper.
The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
John,
Nice sweetness. Vanilla. Oak is present but more subtle than the sweetness. Finish is a bit abrupt.
The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Matt,
Nice to savor and enjoy. Deep flavors and exceptionally smooth. Everything stays in balance and the tastes harmonizes well. The rum cask finish adds a fun bit of sweetness and exotic flavor. Recently I've been enjoying mostly smokey and peaty Islay offerings and this is a wonderful way to come back to a sweeter rounder dram.
Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood Whisky
Patrick,
VERY fruity and floral. nice enjoyable scotch!
The Balvenie Scotch Single Malt 17 Year Doublewood
Nicholas,
A little disappointing. Didn't get big distinctive notes on the nose, a decent, caramel and sweetness. Hits a little harder than I expected in the front. Big spice with some raisin and soft fruit tones. Spice at the front ended up drowning kind of harsh though. The finish really saves it. Spice falls away and you get that nice, creamy vanilla oak that lingers nicely. The finish makes me think it deserves another big drag until I get that spicy front again. Not normally a water guy but I did find a couple of drops helps cut the aggressiveness at the front a bit (seems obvious)

Brendan,
My go-to Speyside whisky. When the bottle reaches one third, it is swiftly re-stocked in my bar.

The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Nicholas,
Classic Scotch aromas and nose, fruity, with that twang of smoke. Incredibly vanilla smoothness at first taste that really stick around. I get a nice oak here and there too - which really lends itself to the Scotch X Rum vibe they were going for. Great taste, very smooth finish.

Honey sweetness. Dried fruits. With spicy bourbon finish. The more I drink over time, the more I appreciate
Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood Whisky
Nancy,
I didn’t read the label carefully and assumed doublewood meant finished in sherry or port casks. Well it means finished in oak casks (so it uses two oak casks, hence the doublewood). As a result, it is oak forward and peppery. Not my favorite style, but it has grown on me.
Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old
Nicholas,
An initial bite with a smooth finish. My initial take was not great...but....I actually really enjoy the finish.

Wonderful introduction to double aged/finished scotch. Makes for a smooth dram. Looking forward to comparing it to Macallan double varieties.

Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old
Eric,
My favorite go-to scotch. Pleasant, easy drinking - not a ton of complexity, but it never fails to satisfy.
The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask
guest,
Nose is mostly sweet, honey and fruity. Taste was initially sweet, but had a lasting floral finish that I’m not too fond of. Felt a little disappointed with taste after enjoying the nose. Vanilla and honey are much more prominent with water added. On subsequent tastings, couldn’t find off putting floral notes and got more tropical fruit and sweetness

When they say "Gentle waves of oak vanilla....They ain't lying on the finish! Similar to the Caribbean Cask w/o the Rum taste!
