Whilst this is a heavily peated Edradour, it has taken the Ballechin name from a dead distillery just down the road. Edradour itself is in fact the smallest distillery in Scotland, with the smallest possible legal stills that create a fine and distinct Whisky.

This is the final release in Ballechin's The Discovery Series that has explored spirit ageing in interesting and unexpected casks. Having spent its life maturing in first fill Sauternes hogsheads, this is a very special wine-cask aged Highland Whisky to finish off the series.
