A triple-distilled Single Malt, worth your attention.

Antique records from the year 1800 mention an illegal Duntocher Distillery, which may have been a predecessor to the legal Auchentoshan Distillery. A license for distillation was obtained in 1823. It is the only Scottish distillery left employing a true full-time third distillation. This makes for a sweeter and more delicate Scotch with a very unique flavor profile. The distillery is located near Glasgow (that's why it's also known as Glasgow's Malt Whisky) in the Lowland region of Scotland.

Auchentoshan Dark Oak is a triple-distilled Single Malt that was aged in a combo of Bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. This special combination delivers a lively and refined flavor profile that masterfully balances sweet and spicy flavors. Stewed fruit and Christmas spice make an appearance, supported by raisin, dark chocolate, and soft fresh barley. Bottled at 86 proof, this flavorful sipper is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

Beer and malt Whisky seem to have quite a bit in common. Both drinks begin with malted barley, which deliver the enzymes and sugars needed for fermentation when steeped in hot water. The two go their separate ways at the wash stage, where they're fermented or aged to become the adult beverages you know and love.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
Whisky distilling goes way back to 1494 when the first recorded batch was made by a posse of monks who acquired about 60 gallons of barley and decided to turn it into "aqua vitae". They created the first 1,500 bottles of Scotch in History.
Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
