The Light-Weight Champion of Peat.
Ardmore distillery was built in 1898 by William Teacher’s son, Adam, to secure fillings for their blend, Theacher’s Highland Cream. Its location lies in the farmland of the Garioch, in Aberdeenshire (Highland). The distillery operates with 4 wash stills to produce their Single Malt Whiskies. Ardmore is interestingly one of the only Highland distillery to produce most of its malts in a peated style.
Ardmore Legacy is a lightly peated Scotch that has been produced from a mix of 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt. Recently replacing Ardmore's Traditional, this Peat Light-Weight is a serious contender to the more powerful Islay peated Scotch Whiskies.
