Ardbeg 10 Year Old
guest,
I feel like a workshop pirate
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Tyler,
Loads of smoke and christmas cake. A bit hot at the higher ABV, totally fine to drink neat and undiluted. Maybe my favorite Islay.
Ardbeg Blaaack Committee Release 2020
guest,
To me this was a little change of pace from an Ardbeg offering. Nose was mainly rich wine or grapes with a very subtle smoke. Initial palate was classic Ardbeg campfire, then intense vanilla sweetness which reminded me of toasted marshmallows. Finish followed with black pepper up front and lingering vanilla notes. Still prefer Ardbeg Uigeadail over this one.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
David,
Woah. This thing has got some complexity. Each sip is something to think about and savor. I almost hate swallowing because it stays so good for so long when you drink it. Great stuff!
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Jason,
Love all the Ardbergs and none more than this. Great peat and more rounded than the 10. even given the higher proof. The only Islay close is the Lag 12 - which is $60 more. I think this wins for top shelf in my bar.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Garrett,
Tied for my favorite bottle of all time. Amazing depth and complexity of flavors: smokey, sweet, savory, iodine. Every time I have a dram, I can't help but say, "Wow."
Ardbeg An Oa
Obbie,
LOVE THIS SCOTCH!! Smokey and dark chocolate! So nice!!
Ardbeg An Oa
Nevin,
Definitely one of my favorites. Love the smokey nose and rich flavor. Very slight burn as well makes it a pleasant sipper.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Kevin,
So, so good!
Ardbeg Uigeadail
guest,
For me this is a perfect dram. It’s very complex. The peat and smoke is there in a big way. But it’s not the only thing going on like many other Islay whiskies. It’s sweet, salty, smoky, thick and oily.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Jeffery,
Love this. Smoky, coastal salt air, smooth, with a perfect bite.
Ardbeg An Oa
Kyle,
Similar to the 10-year, but with all the harshness edges knocked off. This is dangerously easy to drink, despite retaining most of the savory and smoky flavor you love or hate Ardbeg for.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
David,
Great Ardbeg release! Second only to the Uigeadail.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
David,
Great dram. If you like this profile, the cask-strength Uigeadail takes the classic Ardbeg peaty campfire flavor, wraps it in bacon, and takes it up several levels of amazing.
Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie
Forrest,
For this price this is quite good. Dark chocolate, with smoke and savory Ali g for the ride. Salud!
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Ben,
Simply the best.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Zac,
My new favorite scotch. A great combination of Smokey and smooth. The first taste is a campfire then it mellows out to a sweet like smooth.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Kostas,
Smokey, strong, sweet and gorgeous! If you like Lagavulin this is definitely sth you need to try.
Ardbeg An Oa
NATHAN,
Smoky and rich with several layers of flavor
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Travis,
Buy this if you like scotch
Ardbeg Uigeadail
David,
I am surprised the tasting notes fail to include the rich, savory bacon notes! This is my favorite dram of all time and a perfect pairing both during and after the grilling of a premium cut of steak. Non-chill filtered and at cask strength, this bottle is a peathead's dream!
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Ty,
Oily, luscious, and mystical. Is it a burned down Dentist's office or what is with this mouthfeel at the end like...wormwood? My new favorite Islay.
Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie
Bruce,
I am newer to Islay scotch. The first time I had it, it was admittedly hard to get past the brine and the smoke. The second time I had it I was shocked at how sweet I found it. The smoke and peat and brine is all still there but all I take away now is the honey and sweet light fruit that it finishes with. Probably the biggest pendulum from start to finish that I've tried to date
Ardbeg An Oa
Jared,
Smoky and peaty. Very good and not a bad price point
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Jorge,
Lovely smoke, like a wet campfire, and then light, citrus sweetness. Like a smoky lemon tart.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
guest,
One of my favorites so far. Feels like a campfire. Extremely complex and delicious till the last drop.
Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie
Dustin,
Smokier than the 10 but not as complex.
Ardbeg An Oa
Ryan,
The smoke was not to my liking.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
JOSH,
My GOAT, if I had to choose one scotch to drink (not including super expensive and rare options like Brora 30 etc.) this would be it! Best affordable scotch on the market, that's generally available for under $100
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Franz,
Balanced smoke and earthiness
Ardbeg Blaaack Committee Release 2020
Ray,
My favorite Ardbeg. Smoky upfront, a little sweetness on the back. Very well balanced.
Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie
Mike,
The most expressive 5 year old you will ever try. Taste of hickory-smoked bacon, eucalyptus, and dark chocolate.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Mike,
Peat bomb. Wonderful.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Kirk,
Hard to drink. Too smoky
Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie
Rich,
I'm typically not a fan of peaty or smoky, but this dram was quite exceptional and not overpowering - I wouldn't make it my 'go to' everyday drink, but every once in a while, it makes for a nice change.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Dustin,
I can't help it, when the koolaid is this good, the cult has me.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Erik,
Good one to have people try that day they like Jameson but want to try something else.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Warren,
An excellent scotch, smokey and thick, long finish that keeps you wanting more. Best Ardbeg I've had yet.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Niek,
One of my personal favourites.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Jaka,
Wow, you can really feel the salty kick. Amazing dram
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Michael,
Surprising how the floral sweetness comes through the smokiness and peat. Add a touch of water and it brings out baking spiced that have been smoked and then the finish is more pepper mint rather than the smooth cigar exhale without a drop of water.
Ardbeg An Oa
Ken,
Good. Light and Smokey with some light peat. Good salt finish and vanilla caramel on the nose.
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Nathan,
Too smokey for my palate
Ardbeg An Oa
John,
I very much enjoy the smoky finish and the peaty taste
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Victor,
Full of flavor. Classic Ardbeg

Fantastic for the price. Bold flavors true to Ardbeg.

Quality smoky scotch.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
guest,
This is the second Isla whisky I’ve had. I intend to try them all eventually. The first one that I tried and am hooked on is Lagavulin 16. So compared to it the Ardbeg 10 is stronger as a whole. I loved the smoky peat flavor in it, but it doesn’t feel as smooth going down as the Lagavulin. I would definitely buy it again, but not before trying some other Isla whiskies first.
