All You Need Is Love and This Bottle of Whisky.
Welcome to the decade where everyone was free because everyone was running. This colorful bottle holds a groovy expression for the nostalgic folks who went through the free love Sixties or which they did. This is an annual eclectic bottle that commemorates Ardbeg Day, the last day of the decadent Islay Festival of Music and Malt. On the holiday the locals call Fèis Ìle, the distillery opens its doors to its fans as various musicians set the atmosphere.
For 2018's Special Edition, dr. Bill Lumsden (Director of Distilling and Whisky Creation) utilized a special set of casks that used to hold red wine and were rejuvenated and additionally charred before this hippie celebration Spirit was put away to age. What streamed out of those barrels is an exciting and heavily peated love potion that would make every Flower Power bohemian think twice and throw away their Buds and Coronas and worship this magnificent Whisky. Do not, however, drink and drive in your Type 2 Free Spirit Van.
Right on!
