The 120,000 members strong Ardbeg Committee is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and the distillery honored it with an exceptional release.

The peated delicacy is the first one from this Islay distiller to be matured in Pinot Noir casks from New Zealand, which brings lovely red fruit aromas. The Whisky is smooth and dangerously easy to drink. And yes, there are three a’s in the name because it celebrates the black sheep members. Pretty raaad.

Stephen
Stephen,
The best committee release in years.

Michael
Michael,
Well balanced peet, smoke, heat, sweet. Fantastic whisky and the extra ABV vs the 46 make this go from 7.5 to 9.

Jared
Jared,
I have nearly 30 different Islay bottlings...and I can say that without a doubt this is my favorite of them all. The nose has rich, smoked jam, which opens up to pepper and leather on the palate, finishing off with a dark rich pipe tobacco and a long, dynamic finish. Truly fantastic stuff. I took one sip and went back to my liquor store and bought 4 more bottles. Glad I did since I can't find it anywhere anymore.

Collin
Collin,
Very good showing from this year’s committee release. Different than most other Ardbeg bottles. Balanced peat with lots of salty/briny/smoked meat flavors.
