An extremely limited-edition for the 10th anniversary of Angel’s Envy.

The man behind Angel’s Envy Bourbon is a living legend in the Whiskey world. Lincoln Henderson joined Brown-Forman right after college as a grain chemist and he eventually became Master Distiller. He spent 40 years there and worked on developing new brands such as Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Jack Daniel Distillery "Gentleman Jack", and Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Whiskey. What a contribution, eh

After retiring from Brown-Forman, he obviously didn’t kick it back to relax. Instead, he launched Angel's Envy Bourbon. His life's work comes together in this Whiskey of incomparable smoothness. It honors over 200 years of bourbon heritage and combines it with over 400 years of Port Wine heritage. The family operation is now run by his son Wes Henderson.

In 2021, the 10th Annual Cask Strength Bourbon was released. Angel's Envy Cask Strength Bourbon 2021 Release is an extremely limited-edition that was finished in Port Wine barrels from Portugal. Only 14,760 bottles were made available! Weighing in at a whopping 120.7 proof, this beauty comes in a commemorative carved hardwood box. This rare gem starts out complex with peach and cherry that develop into leather, toasted oak, vanilla, port, and stone fruit on the palate. It’s one of the few bottles that really left us speechless. Oh, let us just say this: the folk at Angel’s Envy recommend you savor it neat. Figures.

Bourbon was declared "The Official Spirit of America" by an Act of Congress signed by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
Bourbons are very high in vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
Bourbon Is a ''new barrel Spirit'': One of the legal requirements for Bourbon is that it only be aged in brand new oak charred barrels.
Sure, Kentucky gets all the press when it comes to Bourbon. And with good reason—nearly 95% of it is produced there. But Bourbon can be made anywhere as long as it's within the United States. Just ask states with budding distilleries like Illinois and New York.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Bourbons have very prominent notes of vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
