Looking for the next best thing in the Brandy department? Armenia just might become your next Spiritual pilgrimage. Oft underrepresented and underestimated in today's Spirits world, Armenian Brandies are some of the most exciting and surprising pours you'll ever have the pleasure to try. Cultivating grapes and producing first-grade Wine and Spirits is an ancient practice of Tavush, the northeast region of Armenia.

Ijevan 30-Year-Old Nemrut is produced by Ijevan Wine-Brandy Factory, one of Armenia’s first Wineries. Named after the historic Mount Nemrut that rises above the Moush Valley, is a well-aged pour with so much character! Dark amber in color with rich and complex notes of ripe fruits, prunes, apricot, oak, chocolate, and honey wax, this is a connoisseur's Brandy and will present a (re)fine(d) addition to any home bar.

The water source is a local well 24 km away from the distillery. The water travels a long distance before being used.
The Bangalore distillery employs 450 people, and everything, including packaging is done by hand.
Armenian Brandy, also known as “Konyak” or “Kanyak,” has been a favorite among celebrities and powerful leaders throughout history, including Nero, Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, and mystery writer Agatha Christie.
After sneaking into the 1900 International Exhibition in Paris as a Cognac, Shustov & Son's Armenian Brandy won a blind tasting and the Grand Prix. They were then granted the right to legally call their product Cognac, even though it had not been produced in the Cognac region. Cheers to a proper hoodwinking!
Turns out, Brandy’s a pretty decent meteorologist. Back in the 1600s, the Spirit was used in thermometers before it was replaced by mercury.
