Alexander Murray Laphroaig 12 Year Old
Gregory,
This single malt is not for everyone. People who enjoy smokey or peat like flavor profiles will likely enjoy this. This single malt is semi-sweet and has a comfortable medium heat when held in one's mouth. Would likely pair well with smoked meats, barbecue like or earthy flavors (e.g. mushrooms).
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Gregory,
This blend has a semi-sweet character, medium bodied, and low to medium warming sensation when held in one's mouth. The flavor has a pleasing vanilla or caramel like quality to it, but does not finish as such.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Gregory,
The flavor profile was on the light end and the finish not particularly strong. The flavor was mild, smooth and was not at all warming when held in one's mouth. Almost has to be consumed alone, seeing one could easily overpower it with certain food selection.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Charles,
Tastes kinda like a sweeter Jamo. Good, not great.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Charles,
It tastes kinda like talking shit too a good friend. It's got a bit of spice but overall sweet and lighthearted.

Chris,
So much smoke you only have to open the bottle to know what this is going to taste like. Guess what, it tastes like a bonfire mixed with whisky!
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Chris,
Nice and sweet with a hint of whisky
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Reed,
Sweet and smooth
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Reed,
Tons of honey up front, almost mead-ish to me. Spice at the end.

Scott,
I’m not one who can express the nuances of it taste like this or has notes of that, The only barometer I use is whether or not it tastes good to me or not. This one was taster #5 in my Flaviar Scotch advent calendar. This one tastes great to me, I REALLY enjoy it!

Travis,
Good peat but seems thinner than laphroaig
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Travis,
Lingers, mellower than the 7 year but still spicy and not at all mellow. Bite really overwhelms the caramel undertone.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Travis,
Pretty harsh and young, spicy, didn’t taste the sweetness, vanilla or caramel notes.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
James,
It has a tang to it that lingers on the tongue. Not unpleasant but not welcome.
Alexander Murray Laphroaig 12 Year Old
James,
Smooth, not too spicy or sweet, delicious. Unfortunately has on off-putting musky odor.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
James,
Spicy scotch

Renee,
As I am not a fan of peat I tend to stay away from Scotch but this one is really nice and a great sipping scotch for late night gatherings.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Andrew,
subtle honey
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Antti,
It is an outstanding, delicate, Single Malt Scotch Whisky that has a delicate birth; while an elegant life leads to a balanced death of medium length with hints of caramel, malt & spices.

Nic,
I nice mix of peat and sweet, a departure from your usual Laphroaig, in that the peat is a little subdued, the medicinal notes are muted, and the toffee takes centre stage, but fun nonetheless

Seth,
That’s an islay alright. Smokey upfront with a sweet finish. Really complex and delicious. I’m more of a highland guy but would drink thiss any day.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Seth,
Good but in my opinion too sweet. I prefer the Bon Accord.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Seth,
Perfectly well balanced, not too Smokey. Really enjoyed it.

Jeff,
Thin body, slight smoke up front than sweet. Meh.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
guest,
Pretty smooth and easy scotch. A little sweeter than I normally like but has some light spice and oak notes on the finish. Spice was more prominent with a little water added.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Tonia,
Very sweet nose. Butterscotch and caramel very obvious. Smooth taste and finish with a slight spicy oak.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Todd,
Ok. Maybe a basic starter. Honey and maybe a little smoke. Give to somebody that wants to try scotch for the first time.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
John,
Lots of odd spice for me. I’m missing the honey it should have.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Ryan,
Sweet honey
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Stefanie,
Just smokey enough to catch my attention. A little sweeter than I would like but nice floral.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Liz,
Super tame with a very mild burn. This may be a good intro to scotches for people who have never liked whiskey much?
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Stephen,
Honey is the dominant flavor, but too sweet for my taste.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Angela,
Mellow drinking, not overly flavorful
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Ryan,
Light nose, I get a little bready/malty aroma. Flavor is light, almost watered down with mild sweetness. Short finish. Overall, drinkable but disappointing
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Burton,
Very light in flavor and aroma. Pleasant, if you are in the mood for something easy drinking and unchallenging.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Nakeva,
Nice and smooth overall. The smoky isn't too strong but takes the flavor in a different direction. Generally not a fan of smoky but this one lets the other flavors shine through.
Alexander Murray Monumental Blend 18 Year Old
Nakeva,
Smooth and light. Loved the hint of butterscotch & caramel with the light oak hinting to smoky without coming across too strong.
Alexander Murray Laphroaig 12 Year Old
Nakeva,
Strong on the smoky and almost literally tastes like licking an ashtray. Not my taste for regular enjoyment, however, it may work well on a cold evening while enjoying smoked brisket and friends that smoke.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Matthew,
Color is a light amber. Nose is earthy and malty initially. Light fruit notes follow. First sip is earthy, barely any sweetness. A light biscuity note follows. In the background a faint note of fruit is presents. Finish is relatively short, a brief extension of the earthiness from the front. For the price, not terrible.

George,
flavor not like this one. Real strong petty taste and smokey flavor not my cup of tea.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
George,
I liked the lighter notes and vapor flaver.

ANNE,
Peat and smoke.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
ANNE,
Some sweet, slight citrus on open, nutty on finish. Smooth.
Alexander Murray Bon Accord
Nathan,
This bottle reminds me of a slightly anemic Glenfiddich Select. The floral fruit tries to give it depth, but falls short of the appeal of the classic flavors. For the price I'll stick with the original Glenfiddich.

Nathan,
What a lovely, sweet and complex blended Scotch! From the first sip I knew I'd be back to taste again and again... Smelling lightly of fruit or berries with a good, mild Oak note. The tart fruit flavor melts into deep, sugary caramel as it lingers on the tongue, and a hint of spice tantalizes the senses with a luxuriously long finish. The first and still the only blended Scotch I enjoy sipping unaccompanied.

Nathan,
I was excited to try this Scotch, until I smelled it and the smoke was so overwhelming that it reminded me of burnt olives... The flavor didn't change my mind a lot either. It was like sucking ash from a still-lit camp fire. I have a friend that likes VERY smoky Scotch and even he was overwhelmed by it. I'm sure it's a fine Scotch and has many admirers, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them.
