Good scotch. Smells of grass with a morning dew. Taste is rather sweet, you can clearly taste the vanilla signature of bourbon barrels - so much so, in fact, that I double checked this was indeed a true scotch. A drop of water is needed to really bring the flavor profile out. Overall relatively smooth, though I would have preferred a bit more peat.
There are other scotches around this price point that better suit my tastes.
Light, sweet, with spice on the back end. Not overly complex, but easy to drink.
Overall very bland. Not much on the nose. Flavors were very basic. Curious which highland distillery it came from so I don’t visit it next time I go to Scotland.
Great flavor profile. For not being highly rated, I was quite pleased. Not spectacular but generally pleasing. I actually think you may like it.
Lite. Sweet. Didn’t stick around long
I did not like this wisky at all. Very forgetable. No nose. Watered-down initial taste. Bitter aftertaste. I thought it was because I had used mouthwash a few hours before. No. I ate a piece of bread to cleanse my palate, and tried the whisky again. No. I will not purchase it again.
I. liked it. Very easy to drink.
Solid scotch for the price - if you aren’t expecting much you won’t be disappointed.
Easy drinking, delightfully warm, solid mix of spice and sweetness.
Like it, don’t love it.
Super easy drinking and the walnut flavor is distinct and delicious
The flavor profile was on the light end and the finish not particularly strong. The flavor was mild, smooth and was not at all warming when held in one's mouth. Almost has to be consumed alone, seeing one could easily overpower it with certain food selection.
It tastes kinda like talking shit too a good friend. It's got a bit of spice but overall sweet and lighthearted.
Tons of honey up front, almost mead-ish to me. Spice at the end.
I’m not one who can express the nuances of it taste like this or has notes of that, The only barometer I use is whether or not it tastes good to me or not. This one was taster #5 in my Flaviar Scotch advent calendar. This one tastes great to me, I REALLY enjoy it!
Pretty harsh and young, spicy, didn’t taste the sweetness, vanilla or caramel notes.
As I am not a fan of peat I tend to stay away from Scotch but this one is really nice and a great sipping scotch for late night gatherings.
It is an outstanding, delicate, Single Malt Scotch Whisky that has a delicate birth; while an elegant life leads to a balanced death of medium length with hints of caramel, malt & spices.
Perfectly well balanced, not too Smokey. Really enjoyed it.
Very Sweet honey taste , no bitterness
Delicate flavor...very smooth.
Really smooth and tasty for the price
Thin body, slight smoke up front than sweet. Meh.
Ok. Maybe a basic starter. Honey and maybe a little smoke. Give to somebody that wants to try scotch for the first time.
Lots of odd spice for me. I’m missing the honey it should have.
Just smokey enough to catch my attention. A little sweeter than I would like but nice floral.
Super tame with a very mild burn. This may be a good intro to scotches for people who have never liked whiskey much?
Honey is the dominant flavor, but too sweet for my taste.
Mellow drinking, not overly flavorful
Light nose, I get a little bready/malty aroma. Flavor is light, almost watered down with mild sweetness. Short finish. Overall, drinkable but disappointing
Very light in flavor and aroma. Pleasant, if you are in the mood for something easy drinking and unchallenging.
Nice and smooth overall. The smoky isn't too strong but takes the flavor in a different direction. Generally not a fan of smoky but this one lets the other flavors shine through.
Color is a light amber. Nose is earthy and malty initially. Light fruit notes follow. First sip is earthy, barely any sweetness. A light biscuity note follows. In the background a faint note of fruit is presents. Finish is relatively short, a brief extension of the earthiness from the front. For the price, not terrible.
I liked the lighter notes and vapor flaver.
Some sweet, slight citrus on open, nutty on finish. Smooth.
This bottle reminds me of a slightly anemic Glenfiddich Select. The floral fruit tries to give it depth, but falls short of the appeal of the classic flavors. For the price I'll stick with the original Glenfiddich.
Non-descript and lacks character, but pleasant enough to enjoy as a staple.
Very easy and sweet. Several successive flavors, but not overpowering. The walnut adds a nice touch.
A smooth taste with a barely noticeable, yet enjoyable, spicy finish. For the price I would buy again
Good mouth feel, sweet with a mild spicy finish. Not as complex as the more aged single malts. Good value at $38.
good value, sweet and smooth on the nose and the palate
Smooth and sweet with a soft finish. Not the tastiest out there but a good value.
