— My husband really like it, I bought him samples! Im definitely going to buy a bottle
— Love it. Smooth no a hint of after taste. Definitely want more
— Smells of brown sugar. The smokey peaty side does not come through until you taste it. It did not taste as sweet as I expected and the smoke and spice saved it. I was surprised at how much I like this. It is so smooth I could still taste food with no interference of after taste.

Very smooth with a smoky finish
Nice gentle and sweet bourbon. I like the vanilla. Good for the price.
Sweet and caramelly
Smooth and smoky. Great time for the winter.
Felt the warmth going down she drank straight. Smell was not over powering. Just seemed ok nothing super special splashes in some soda and it was better
i like the smokey taste!
A little too smoky for me. Smooth, though. Slightly sweet but too much. Came in the Texan Spirit sampler so, figured I’d give it a try. Good with a mixer but, wouldn’t go out of my way to keep a bottle in the liquor cabinet.
Too smoky for my liking.
I like it! Just the right amount of smoke. Remember the Alamo.
Liked it, smooth
Noses a bit like a speyside scotch. Zing! A hot attack. Thick. Strong. Almost like some roasted corn on the finish.
Very smooth, warm flavor
It's a forgetful bourbon, reminiscent of jim beam. it's great alone, or mixed, as a cheap, regular go-to when your goal is intoxication, not a whiskey to sit and sip during poker night or show off in the cabinet.
Not terrible, not knock you out of the park
Smooth and sweet. Easily best bourbon I’ve had because it doesn’t taste like cheap bourbon.
Just didn’t leave me wanting more. Too much burn from the alcohol without enough taste to offset.
Not the biggest bourbon drinker, but nothing bad to say. I liked nose of brown sugar and caramel, but the taste and finish were just ok. I would not purchase for myself, but I would tell a friend who likes bourbons to try.
A quiet enjoyable bourbon, would like to have a bottle if it comes back in stock
A little strong on the front end, but smooth, smoky aftertaste. I like it!
Smooth, enjoyable bourbon
Nice and Smokey. A bit harsh, but I did like it neat.
Strong but good. Would keep a bottle in the house but not be the first to dive into.
Alamo was the favorite of the Tasting box. Very enjoyable and smooth, definite tastes of smoke and spice. I'd buy a bottle.
Strong vanilla and spice
Very smooth bourbon. I could sip this all day.
Very smooth. hints of vanilla. I want a bottle!
Very smooth. Great balance of vanilla and Smokey flavors
Good flavor. Very average bourbon
Good stuff. Not exceptional but smooth and very drinkable.
Misplaced in my Craft Side of Bourbon samples.
But a sample is a sample.
Found it to be a bit thin for my tastes.
Adding And ice sphere certainly brings out the vanilla notes. Very smooth. Good bourbon
Admiral taste will definitely be buying this bottle
Thin nose and taste.
Sweet and smooth. A bit of spice on the front, but nice with an ice cube. Goes down smooth.
Unique taste. Smoky, a bit of sweetness and some vanilla and peat. Liked the finish. Worthy of a bottle for the home bar, to share with friends for a rather unique taste experience.
Like the smoky spicy flavor and pleasantly surprised by the sweet almost raisin note that comes in. Nice warming and mouthfeel.
Very smooth pour.
Slight Smokey but finished with a smooth sweetness. Yes to a bottle.
Nice smoky ness with a little sweet finish
My husband really like it, I bought him samples! Im definitely going to buy a bottle
Very smooth, with a slightly spicy and smoky flavor with a sweet finish. Overall very tasty, recieved it in a tasting box, would consider buying a bottle
Smooth and flavorful. Blown away to be honest. Easily could be a go to on any given day.
Good amount of spicy, backed up with a nice sweetness and smoke. Overall very smooth bourbon
Smoky taste, with a sweet smooth finish. Easy to drink, but no wow factor.
Smoky and a little sweet and spicy. I’m getting a little is the peat with a quick finish.
The whiskey is OK. I received it as part of a tasting. I drank it all, but would not purchase a bottle. Too many ahead of it in line.
This is a very interesting whiskey. I enjoyed it. The initial smell is very pleasant but if you smell the glass again after you finish it smells almost entirely different. I will definitely try this again if I had the choice but I would let it sit longer in the glass than I initially did just to see how much bolder the flavors become after airing out a little bit.
Not a fan
Okay first off I'm fighting covid-19 right now so my taste buds are a little bit off but this is the only bourbon that I have enjoyed this past week very very good
On the nose, I get bubble gum, apples, and sweet bread. I know the description of this bourbon is entirely different than what I'm getting, but this is exactly what I'm getting. The palate gives me dry apples, a hint of brown sugar. I'm usually sipping 100+ proof stuff so I don't get any spice at all and no lingering mouth taste. It has no legs in the glass so that can explain the quick drop off. Second favorite of the Texan Spirits tasting box. Would buy it for the $30 price it's listed MSRP.
A sweet peaty bourbon with a small spicy tingle in the back of the throat. I’m personally not a fan of peaty whiskeys but I’d add this to my collection.
Smells sweet and has a sweet taste. Definitely peaty flavor. Not one of my go to favorites.
A pleasurable sweet bourbon taste with a smooth experience, and only a short back of the throat burn. A tasty bourbon that I would buy for my bar.
A good smoky, smooth bourbon
Very, very smooth
At first the spice bit my tongue, but then the vanilla calmed it down. Would consider it again.
Sweet and smooth. Doesn't need any water for me.
This was smooth and warming. Like wrapping yourself in a blanket by a campfire in the fall. The aroma was very nice, The taste was superb and smooth. The finish was very pleasant. It definitely tasted like MORE.
This was OK, but it didn't really strike me. It sort of sat in my chest and settled in for a stay. Not horrible, but not something I would purchase. Flavor wise it was a bit enjoyable but overall not striking.
Smooth soft bourbon. It’s not bad I just prefer more bite.
Nose: Sweet caramel toffee and vanilla
Palate: Smooth; sweetness continues with vanilla brown sugar and wood notes.
Finish: Lingering sweetness with a hint of burnt sugar and apple peel bitterness.
Overall this is a very decent craft bourbon. I could enjoy this regularly.
Love it. Smooth no a hint of after taste. Definitely want more
Amazing smooth finish. Doesn't taste like a 90 proof bourbon at all. Problem is that I could probably put this is a gatorade bottle and drink it.
This one was tough for me, I didn't get a lot of flavor coming out of it. Seemed more savory (from the peat and smoke)...but maybe a got a dud taster.
I agree, in fact I gave it a 5 as well.
Sweet and Smoky. Very tasty
Moderately Smokey, a reasonable drink with a mid finish. Decent, something I would drink again
Not a bad showing for such a young distillery. Like the fact they are using local ingredients. The smoke/peat note is subtle in this one but as it is a strong profile it tends to dominate on the nose. Mouth feel is a little watery without too much coming through on the palate. Finish is short without burn and a sweet note to close it out.
Delicious. The smoke is subtle but adds a delightful flavor. Finish is smooth.
Ok bourbon, a little bit of a rye spice, corn and sweet on the palate. Not a long finish but good enough for sipping. Wouldn’t pay more than $25.
Solid bourbon. Soft flavor.
A little too smoky and peaty for me. Just not my thing.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet fruity flavor I experienced after my third swap. This was my favorite of the Texan Spirit trio because of the unique twist mixed with classic flavors you want from your bourbon.
I liked this one of the Texan taster set the most. I didn’t think it tasted like a lot of smoke. I think the oak, sweet, spicy, fruity flavors were more prominent.
It is an outstanding, balance, Bourbon Whiskey that has a rich birth with notes of caramel, peat smoke & spices; while a bold & rich life adds notes of corn, oak, vanilla, dark fruits & brown sugar; that leads to an elegant death with notes of barley & rye spice.
Very smoky at first with almost no flavor. My first impression was not good. Spicy comes second and it gets sweeter with each sip. You get more caramel and hints of fruit as you go. Pretty smooth with a medium finish. Enjoyed the last sip significantly more than the first.
Nice amber color, smell is mild and the initial taste is full of smoke with a hint of peat. A bit on the harsh side, not my favorite. After a few sips you can taste some caramel with some light sweet aftertaste. Overall about a middle of the road bourbon. I probably wouldn’t order this in a bar or buy a bottle..
Smokey with a nice mellow aftertaste.
Spicy caramel; complex. Want to visit distillery.
Nice young bourbon. Looking forward to tasting a cask strength that’s maybe 6-7 yrs old. Promising!
Color is amber. Nose mildly gives off ethanol and young corn, with a muted malty background. First sip tastes better than it smells, with mild malty flavor, as well as some vanilla and baking spice. However, the young corn still contributes, distracting from the desired flavors, making any other good flavors or aromas very difficult to find. Mouthfeel is a little oily, showing the youth. Overall, not ready for prime time.
Just a little smoky and definitely sweet.
Good smoothness to it. May have went to an 8 if it had more of a flavor switch on finish. As it is it’s kind of flat. But a good flat. Flavor spiral shows smoky but I didn’t get that.
Smells of brown sugar. The smokey peaty side does not come through until you taste it. It did not taste as sweet as I expected and the smoke and spice saved it. I was surprised at how much I like this. It is so smooth I could still taste food with no interference of after taste.
Not really getting the smoky or peaty flavors and glad for it.
Don’t get the smoke at all. Nice hint of caramel and vanilla
Really nice spice...the rye and barley really stands out to me
Sweet nose and on the taste. The caramel comes through right away, and there is some underlying orange. The spiciness is easy to taste, but something about the balance seems off. Certainly not my favorite bourbon.
I did not get the smoky and peaty notes like others, but that may be because I just had a strong scotch tasting before. It was sweet, but a one not wonder for me.
The smoky and sweet spiciness all roll together quite well. The peaty notes also compliment the profile
Love this! I drink over an ice cube. Great Carmel and peppers. Strong smoke, but not in a cheap cigarette butt kind of way. Very nice. I’ll be gettin more o this!
Smooth but spicy - I like it
Great! Fun nose. But feels like it’s two flavors competing for the top spot.
