A Japanese-inspired Gin crafted in Barcelona.

Destilerías Campeny is one of those players that have been around in the 'biz for a long time. Founded in Barcelona by Amadeo Campeny i Pons, they have been crafting premium Spirits since 1970. Always one step ahead of the trends, their diverse range spans over 50 different offerings from Liqueurs to award-winning Gins such as the famous Tann's Gin.

With such a diversified portfolio (Wow, that sounds so finance-y!), it's no wonder their inspiration comes from everywhere in the world. Case in point: their Akori Cherry Blossom Gin. Anyone who has ever been to Japan in April and seen cherries blossom must have been pretty blown away. The photos alone are stunning! Akori Cherry Blossom Gin honors this breathtaking Japanese natural phenomenon and Japanese traditions. Crafted from rice and traditional botanicals such as juniper and citrus zest, other ingredients are a tad more exotic. As you’ve probably guessed, the key ingredient is cherry blossom, but an experienced palate will also detect dragon fruit, kumquat, and ginger spice. Wonderfully floral and refreshing, its dreamy pale pink hue makes any cocktail look summer ready.

Hardcore Gin lovers say the word Martini should never be preceded by Vodka, lobster, or pomegranate. They say the original and the only real Martini consists of Gin, Vermouth & olives, period!
How much Tonic is in a Gin & Tonic? The ideal proportions for a perfect Gin & Tonic is one part Gin and two parts Tonic.
Gin gets its dominant flavour from juniper berries. As with many other spirits, Gin was originally intended to be used as medicine. Yeah right!
While juniper-heavy Gin is perfect for your daily G&T, it is also complemented extremely well by tea flavours such as Earl Grey. Try steeping Earl Grey tea bags in Gin for an hour before mixing it with lemon juice and soda for a refreshing tipple. This one gets you additional kudos, so let’s keep it between us.
As producers try to develop new styles and flavors of Gin, to push the category and find a niche, the need for trying new methods of extracting flavors, as well as using more unusual botanicals, has grown.

One such way is the vacuum distillation method, when the redistillation of botanicals takes place in a vacuum.
Few Gin distillers make their own alcohol. Gin usually starts with neutral Spirit: A commodity that distillers buy in bulk. It’s what the distiller does with this commodity in the flavor-infusing process that makes each Gin different.
