The Albany Distilling Company is a small craft distillery located in Albany, New York’s historic downtown. Using both modern and traditional methods, they produce Spirits of exceptional quality one small batch at a time.

Owned by John Curtin and Richard Sicari, the distillery was founded in early 2011. Their first product was Whiskey, followed by Bourbon, followed by an unaged Rum inspired by the nearby original 18th century distillery.

Their lineup now includes several offerings of Whiskeys and a range of Spirits including collaboration projects with other small local businesses such as Nine Pin Ciderworks and Death Wish Coffee.
Due to the current situation with COVID-19, all Distillery Tours are on-hold. We'll notify you the moment we're able to organize them safely again.

Let's go guys, my name is Rick from Albany Distilling. Welcome to our world. You are in the distillery right now at 78 Montgomery Street. This is our production facility. As you can see we've got a couple of things going on right now. We've got Brady labeling up some bottles. We've got the still running, distilling Bourbon today. We've got the mash tun, also making more Bourbon and here we have the bottles.

We've been in business now for five years. Next month will actually be five years opened for public. We are a farm distillery, so we're using New York State grain with a lot of our products, our Whiskeys in particular, we make Bourbon, Rye and Malt off the New York grain. We chose Albany as you know it is the capital of New York State. New York is the temple of the world as far as we're concerned so it's a very logical place for us to start this company and grow. We are up to a massive six employees, so watch out, we're ready to take over the world.

So it's called the Jungle Bird. Using our Quackenbush Amber Rum. So we take an ounce of the Amber Rum. Use three quarters of an ounce of Lockhouse New York Distillery Bitter and a little bit of lime juice, pineapple.

All right so we're often asked what do with our Quackenbush Still House Rum and for us it's something simple as the Classic Daiquiris, but we use our fancy Jamaican grade molasses for it so it's a very earthy savory Rum and you really want to show that off so we will just use our Rum, homemade simple syrup and finally fresh-squeezed lime juice, shake that up.
