Top reviews for 291 Colorado Single Barrel Rye Whiskey:

— What a journey! It’s intensely woodsy - cedar I think. Tobacco, leather, and ash (in a good way) give way to a hint of mint. This stuff will seriously spice up your julep.

— Drinking the old west! Tons of flavor.

Matthew
Matthew,
Appearance: Color is amber, decent legs... Nose: Aspen, bread dough, cinnamon, rye spice. Unique but still definitely Rye Whiskey. Maybe a little aspen heavy, but unique and great nose... Palate: Cinnamon, rye spice, aspen (I’ve never tasted it but it tastes just like it smells), minty/herbal background. Unique and flavorful... Mouthfeel: Tongue-coating... Finish: Linger of the aspen and rye spice... Overall: The most unique Rye I’ve tasted, but maintains it’s Rye profile. Excellent, if a little expensive
